As a promoter and enthusiast of holistic medicine, I realized that it may be helpful to my readers to include a list of holistic supplements that I used during my fight with the tick infections.
I have read numerous stories on how, if confirmed early, antibiotics such as doxycycline are prescribed to patients after blood tests show positive for Lyme. And I have read testimonies of people going on an antibiotic for Lyme and sometimes it has worked, but, for the most part, it did not.
I am in no way a medical professional and the information I give is based solely on research and my personal experiences, but I read how antibiotics are not generally helpful in combatting Lyme or the other tick infections. In fact, by taking a long course of antibiotics you can build up a resistance towards bacteria to the point the antibiotic will not be useful in combatting your current bacterial infection and any future infections. Also, as discussed with my naturopathic doctor, taking too many antibiotics can throw off the delicate balance of good and bad bacteria in your gut health. In the future, I would like to write more about the balance of gut health and how important it is to our overall body wellness.
There is a new section titled “Supplements” where I have listed various pills, powders and liquids I have personally taken in order to combat the Babesia and Bartonella. Also, there are links to each supplement where you can purchase them for yourself.
They helped me tremendously by boosting my immune system, flushing toxins and metals from my body and combatting the double infections. Without them, I would not have my health (and sanity) back to normal.
As I have stressed before, it is imperative to check with a doctor or medical professional about taking supplements. I strongly recommend reaching out to schedule an appointment with a holistic or naturopathic doctor in your area for an exam and wellness report and then you may discuss the use of supplements.
God created each individual with their own unique blueprint so it is important to remember that we are all different so what worked for me, may not work for you. But it is my hope that in sharing my journey, someone will read this and start their own journey to a healthier body. Someone out there may be bed-ridden or house bound, wracked with crippling pain or anxiety, going from doctor to doctor to doctor and losing hope. I am here to reassure you, there is hope and you are not alone.
