Light travels at 186,000 miles (300,000 kilometers) each second; converted to miles per hour it would be 670,616,629 mph. There is nothing else in the universe that can travel faster than light.
And let’s not forget our 4th grade science class where we were taught that without light (including the sun), life on Earth could not exist.
So if our life on Earth is made possible by light, what does that also say about our very souls? Does light have a direct impact?
In the final part of this spiritual health trilogy, I would like shine the spotlight on how you can overcome this worldly darkness here on Earth and be in the presence of His light forevermore.
John 8:12 states: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 1:5 also states: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.”‘
Before continuing in a Biblical view, have you ever been afraid of the dark?
I am sure most children have experienced a fear of the dark; a fear of the dark closet, or the clothes draped over a chair resembling a monster or not wanting to walk down a dark hallway in the house.
Basements and attics are considered creepy due to their lack of natural light.
When you are sick, you always feel worse at night and better in the morning.
Most horror films are set at night.
And let’s not forget that most crimes are committed in the dark when visibility is low and there are sparse crowds around.
If you read my previous post, Part Two, there is a reason that everything concerning evil, Satan and rituals are considered dark or part of the dark arts.
Finally, there is a reason that Hell is always portrayed as being dark except for the light from the flames of fire.
Now, pondering on all of that, which side would you rather be on? The light or the dark?
In the Bible, Jesus is referred to as the Light Of The World.
In fact, Jesus’ birth at night, when it was dark outside, fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy that “the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light“.
Psalm 27:1 states, “The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear?“
According to Pastor Dave Dunham, “According to Pauline theology, then, salvation is light bursting upon the darkened heart to reveal the “glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” To see the light is to receive salvation. As children of the light, then, we are commanded to “walk in the light” (1 John 1:7). This means to “throw off the works of darkness” and to “put on the armor of light” (Rom. 13:12). We are to let the light of God in us shine out, that we may point others towards the true light (Matt. 5:16; Phil. 2:15). As children of the light we are changed and this light dwells in us now. There is no fellowship between light and darkness (2 Cor. 6:14; 1 John 1:6). Salvation is all about light. It’s about seeing the light (2 Cor. 4:6), loving the light (John 3:19-21), and walking in the light (1 John 1:7).”
A personal relationship with Jesus means eternity in Paradise (Heaven) and without this relationship, an eternity in Darkness (Hell) will be your punishment.
Let me give you some examples of some famous people who have seen the light and given their life over to Christ within the past year:
Riaan Swiegelaar
The founder of the Church of Satan in South Africa, Riaan Swiegelaar, became saved after experiencing the image of Jesus during a satanic ritual and was overcome with peace and love. When he saw Jesus, he told Jesus, “I’m scared. And then He flooded me with love, so much love. ” This once Satan-worshipping individual broke down into tears. You can watch his interview here.
Blac Chyna
A former stripper and model, Blac Chyna (real name Angela) became popular as a rapper and a socialite. She has now since found Jesus and proclaims to be a born-again Christian; removing tattoos (including her Baphomet tattoo), undoing plastic surgery alterations on her body, and cancelling her Only Fans account. She got baptized and is currently attending a Baptist Church; vowing to only do things that align with her Christian faith.
Kat Von D
Known as a famous tattoo artist and recording artist, Kat Von D went viral when she shared a live video of her baptism on her social media pages. She also announced that she gave her life over to Christ and now attends a Baptist Church with her husband.
Nala Ray
A former Only Fans model, she, too, shared her baptism live and shed anything on herself or in her life that wasn’t from God.
Russel Brand
Known as an actor, comedian and former sex-addict, Brand has since married and become a family man, dedicating his time to his online platforms discussing worldly and political issues, leaning towards the conservative side after seeing “the light”. He also live-streamed his baptism and proclaims to be Christian.
I do want to take a few extra moments about another celebrity who I believe is on the verge of converting to Christianity and that is actor Jim Carey.
In the past year or so, Jim Carey has been going viral on videos of him calling out the dark sides of Hollywood.
About 9 years ago, Carey appeared on the nighttime talk show, Jimmy Kimmel, and revealed the secret of the Illuminati cult. Click here to watch the video. All the while Carey was exposing this cult on Kimmel’s show, the audience was laughing, thinking he was joking, but he was doing anything but joking.
About 6 years ago, Carey was interviewed by the E! network during NY Fashion Week and proceeded to tell the interviewer:
“There is no meaning to any of this. I wanted to find the most meaningless thing that I could come to and join and here I am.”
Apparently his love for Hollywood has soured with him continuing to explain to E!: “Celebrating icons? That is the absolute lowest aiming, you know, possibility that we could come up with. Do you believe in icons? I believe in personalities. I don’t believe in icons. I believe peace lies beyond invention and disguise.”
Over the years, Carey has been outspoken about battling depression and his intense yearning for peace. You can view a great interview of Carey regarding depression here.
And now he has been talking more and more about Jesus….click here to watch a montage of clips of Carey talking about Jesus. Let’s pray Jim Carey does indeed accept Jesus as his Savior.
So you may be wondering then if God is Power and Ruler of all, why would evil even exist? A friend of mine posted this on Facebook answering the question, “Why Did God Create Evil”:

Pretty spot on, right?
Some would deny the existence of God so what about atheism? An atheist is defined as: “a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods.”
Richard E. Simmons III, founding director of The Center for Executive Leadership, stated in his blog how atheism is quite contradictory:
“The atheistic worldview has made its way into modern education. Modern educators do not adopt or support an absolute set of core values. They believe that values are purely personal and subjective and therefore should be left up to the individual. You are to establish your own values. However, those same educators are shocked when they discover that many of their students are cheating on tests.
The contradictory nature of atheism is particularly evident when someone has accepted the evolutionary premise but then tries to set up a moral framework for life.
A number of years ago a controversial book came out that explained the relationship between evolution and sexual assault. The title of the book was “The Natural History of Rape: Biological Bases of Sexual Coercion”. The two authors were college professors who made the outlandish claim that biologically speaking, rape is not a pathology. It is a behavior that has been adapted to maximize the reproductive process. It is part of the evolutionary process. The book calls rape ‘a natural biological phenomenon that is a product of the evolutionary heritage.’ They said it is akin to ‘the leopard’s spots and the giraffe’s elongated neck.‘
The authors were shocked by all the controversy the book caused. Their reasoning was simple logic; behavior that has survived over time must have some type of evolutionary advantage; otherwise, it would have been eliminated by natural selection.
Evolution and evolutionary ethics go together. This is what philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche firmly believed and the point the college professors were making. They are a package deal. He was saying if you don’t like this conclusion, you should abandon your beliefs in evolution and turn to God.“
And how about that ending scene in the movie, “God’s Not Dead”? A college student was debating an atheist professor and ended up leaving the professor speechless. Here’s the dialogue from the scene:
Student: “If God does not exist, then everything is permissible”.
Professor: “Religion is like a mind virus parents have passed down to children and Christianity is the worst virus of all. It slowly creeps into our lives when we are weak or sick or helpless.”
Student: “So religion is like a disease?”
Professor: “Yes, yes, it infects everything. It is the enemy of reason.”
Student: “Reason? What you are teaching here is not philosophy. It’s not even atheism anymore. What you are teaching is antitheism. It’s not enough that you don’t believe but you need all of us to not believe with you. Who are you really looking to fail? Me or God?”
Student: “Do you hate God?“
Professor: “It’s not even a question.”
Student: “Why do you hate God? Just answer the question. You’ve seen the science of the arguments. Science supports His existence. You know the truth. So why do you hate him? Why? It’s a fair, simple question, Professor. Why do you hate God?”
Professor: “Because He took everything away from me. Yes, I hate God. All I have for Him is hate.“
Student: “How can you hate someone that doesn’t exist?”

Now how about for people who are all about science, history and hard facts?
For the past 2,000 years, people have continuously tried to disprove the Bible and yet not one person has succeeded. Despite the Bible being written by 40 different authors over a time period of 1500 to 2000 years, not one inaccuracy can be found. Here are some of the many accuracies of the Bible:
HISTORICAL ACCURACIES:
- Roman senator, Publius Cornelius Tacitus, confirmed the relationship between Jesus and Pilate in his historical book, Annals, published in year 115: “Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus“
- Roman senator, Pliny the Younger, wrote letters to Emperor Trajan during the year of 110 and referenced Christians and Jesus: “…chant verses alternately among themselves in honor of Christ as if to a god, and also to bind themselves by oath, not for any criminal purpose, but to abstain from theft, robbery and adultery, to commit no breach of trust, and not to deny a deposit when called upon to restore it.”
- Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus, mentioned Jesus in his work, “Antiquities of the Jews”: “Around this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who did surprising deeds, and a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Messiah. When Pilate, upon hearing him accused by men of the highest standing among us, had condemned him to be crucified, those who in the first place came to love him did not give up their affection for him, for on the third day, he appeared to them restored to life. The prophets of God had prophesied this and countless other marvelous things about him. And the tribe of Christians, so called after him, have still to this day not died out”
FULFILLED PROPHECY:
- The Book of Micha, written around 700 BC, prophesized about the birth of Christ. Christ’s birth didn’t happen until 4 BC
- The Book of Isaiah, written during the eighth century, wrote about a man named Cyrus who would free the Jewish captives in Babylonia and return them to their homeland. Yet Cyrus wasn’t born until the sixth century, about 200 years after the Book of Isaiah was written.
- The Book of Daniel, written during the second century, writes of Daniel being given a vision from God of a ram expanding its territory but being trampled by a male goat. This vision pointed to the Medo-Persian Empire, represented by the ram (Daniel 8:20), and the Greco-Macedonian Empire, represented by the goat (Daniel 8:21). The first king to rule over Greece after overthrowing the Medo-Persian Empire was Alexander the Great, who defeated Persia after attacking it in 334 B.C.—more than 200 years after Daniel’s vision.
SCIENTIFIC ACCURACIES:
- Stars Are Innumerable: Genesis 22:17 states, “I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore”. Jeremiah 33:22 states, “As the host of heaven cannot be numbered and the sands of the sea cannot be measured…“
- The Water Cycle: Isaiah 55:10 states, “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater”
- Earth Freely Floats: Job 26:7 states, “He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.”
- Ocean Currents: Psalm 8:8 states, “and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas.“
- Blood Clotting: Genesis 17:12 states, “He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations…” So why eight days? It has recently been discovered that blood clotting in newborns reaches its peak on the eighth day; the coagulating factors in the blood are at optimal levels on that day and only that day.
In closing, after reading about how spiritual warfare is peaking, the veil between Heaven and Hell is thinning, and how the Bible is consistently true, what is your next step?
If you haven’t accepted Jesus as your Savior, I urge you to pray The Sinner’s Prayer, a prayer of repentance to form your personal relationship with Jesus:

It may seem like this world is crumbling all around you and, as human beings, it is normal to feel depressed, anxious, frightened and angry. But once you let the Light into your heart, you will be able to stay strong; the darkest, most powerful armies of Satan will never be able to hurt or destroy you.
Sir Francis Bacon said, “In order for light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present.”
Let your light shine, my friends!
